MOSQUITO CONTROL
Timeline
Our seasonal mosquito control service can reduce the mosquito populations in your yard by up to 80%. The first application generally occurs in late May, once foliage begins to grow on the trees and shrubs on your property. Once the first application is complete, we return within two weeks to re-spray the property in order to establish a strong defence against the newly arriving mosquitoes. After this we return, on average, every 21 days for re-application. The exact length of time between each visit can vary depending on the time of the season. Since mosquito populations fluctuate with the changing weather, certain months require more or less product to control them.
Application Process
Postcard Perfect uses motorized Stihl backpack sprayers that distribute the product evenly in a fog-like form onto your property. We apply a 1-3 m band around the perimeter of the property to shrubs, trees, evergreens and tall grass where mosquitoes generally congregate. Once the product has dried (approximately 30 minutes), it is rainproof and completely safe for humans and pets alike to go outside. If you have any concerns about the product we use, please contact us at info@postcardperfect.ca or 613-831-4246.

TICK CONTROL
Timeline
Our seasonal tick control service provides a reduction of tick populations on your property. The first application occurs once the snow has melted. The second application occurs in the summer to ensure the defense against ticks is maintained. The final application occurs in the fall to ward off any ticks that are around trying to find their last meal before winter.
Application Process
We apply the product as a 3 meter band to turf areas around property lines or around structures such as dog houses, kennels, sidewalks, pathways or patios where ticks are a problem. Turf areas that are of particular importance to observe for ticks include those adjacent to forested areas, stonewalls, ornamental plantings and other areas where there is overgrown vegetation. Reduce tick habitat through landscape management practices including but not limited to mowing the turf and removal of weeds, leaf litter and other debris where ticks are found.
