Terms and Conditions 

The Contractor agrees to provide to the Client on the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement. The Client agrees to engage the Contractor to provide one of the following selected service packages:

  • Platinum: Spring Opening, Mid-Season Adjustment, Fall Winterization, Two Remote Adjustments and a subscription to the Enthusiast Plan. **Only available to customers with a Hydrawise controller. **
  • Gold: Spring Opening, Mid-Season Adjustment, Fall Winterization.
  • Silver: Spring Opening and Fall Winterization.
  • Winterization: Fall Winterization Only.

Details Of Each Service: 

Spring Opening

The Spring Opening includes a full inspection of your irrigation system. This service will ensure that your irrigation system schedule is set up for the beginning of the season. We will test all of the following components and verify the following items:

  • Test All Sprinkler Heads
  • Test All Master Valves
  • Test All Control Valves
  • Test All Electrical Connections
  • Test Irrigation Controller & Set Schedule for Typical Spring Conditions
  • Replace Controller Backup Battery (if applicable)
  • Test Rain Sensor
  • Make Minor Repairs if Time Permitting (repairs in excess of $250.00 + HST will be rescheduled)
  • Assess System Coverage

Mid-Season Adjustment

The Mid-Season Adjustment includes a full inspection of your irrigation system. This service is an excellent chance to reassess the coverage of your system when your lawn and gardens may be experiencing some drought stress. This service will ensure that your irrigation system schedule is set up for mid-summer conditions. This service is important to maintain the health of your landscape throughout the season. We will test all of the following components and verify the following items:

  • Test All Sprinkler Heads
  • Test All Master Valves
  • Test All Control Valves
  • Test All Electrical Connections
  • Test Irrigation Controller & Set Schedule for Typical Mid-Summer Conditions
  • Replace Controller Backup Battery (if applicable)
  • Test Rain Sensor
  • Make Minor Repairs if Time Permitting (repairs in excess of $250.00 + HST will be rescheduled)
  • Assess System Coverage

Fall Winterization

The Fall Winterization is the most important service for your irrigation system. We winterize irrigation systems by high volume blowouts. A hose from a high-volume air compressor will be attached to your irrigation system. We will blow air through all the lines of your system. We do not perform any repairs or make changes to your system during a Fall Winterization. We will not attach or blow out any plumbing fixtures or additional water lines that are not part of your irrigation system. This includes additional water lines to pool houses, outdoor kitchens, outdoor water faucets, showers or outdoor sinks. We will only attach to and winterize your irrigation system.

Remote Adjustment

We will provide two remote adjustments to your Hydrawise schedule at your request. If the Client does not submit a request, we will automatically make the first change in mid-late June and the second change around late August – early September. The exact date of these adjustments will vary from year to year based on the actual weather conditions. After each remote adjustment, we will email the Client to let them know it’s been completed.

Service Calls

Service call rates start at $125/hour plus parts and travel fees (if applicable). Customers must be signed up for a minimum of a winterization in order to book a service call.

Your Opening and Mid-Season Adjustment Includes: 

Standard lot: Up to 1 hour of labour to make adjustments and any small repairs.

Estate lot: Up to 1.5 hours of labour to make adjustments and any small repairs.

Pump system: Up to 2 hours of labour to make adjustments and any small repairs. If the pump should require service, it will be removed and taken for service at an additional cost.

Please note that labour hours quoted are total. For example, two technicians onsite for 0.5 hours would be equivalent to one technician onsite for 1 hour.

Once the Client has agreed to a service package, they have agreed to any repairs required to keep the system functioning properly up to a value of $250 + HST without an estimate for the work to be completed. This total includes parts as well as labour over the times noted above. For any work that would exceed $250 + HST, the customer will be given an estimate before rescheduling.

Premium Seed Blends: 

We are offering clients the option to purchase premium grass seed. If purchased, grass seed will be delivered during the Spring Opening service. If you do not receive a Spring Opening, the seed will need to be picked up at our office at 1456 Stittsville Main Street.

Terms of Agreement

  • A credit card on file is required before any work commences
  • Failed credit card payments and returned cheques are subject to a $50 administration fee.
  • Clients have 5 business days to review any completed work as well as invoices. After this time your credit card will be charged automatically and invoices are considered final. Any return visits will result in a separate charge for an additional service call.
  • Any overdue invoices will be subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) after 30 days.
  • A $50.00 + HST will be applied for incomplete service appointments. This amount will be auto-billed before services are rescheduled.
  • The following will constitute the $50.00 + HST fee:
    • Water source not turned on as requested in advance of Spring Opening.
    • Water source not turned off as requested in advance of a Fall Winterization.
    • Access to property not provided if access was prearranged.
    • Cancellation of appointment on date of scheduled appointment.
